My name is Maria.
After competitively swimming in college , work started to take over my life.
Multiple injuries from all the over training kept me from exercising which led to me feeling like I lost my identity and purpose.
I used to condition myself that I had to continue overtraining and restricting myself of all the foods I loved even after my racing days were over.
I thought this is what it took to stay in shape. I also thought I had to look a certain way to get respect from others and to feel loved by others.
My health physically and mentally was going down hill, and I hit a dark place in my life.
I beat myself up mentally and physically, & my hormones and metabolism hit rock bottom because of it.
We don’t need to suffer on our journey to stay in great shape during peri-menopause/menopause.
We can love our bodies even more than we did when we were competing.
We can still be in amazing in shape in our 40s ,our 50’s, and enjoy our journey so much more without overtraining or doing on another diet.
